POTENTIAL MAIN EXHIBIT

This is the work in progress for the layout of the main exhibit. My goal if to get the feeling of the scale, based on the cars and how much space they take in the building

After I made the horizontal cuts in the 3D model I was able to extract the floor layout. Now I am able to explore the spaces in detail which allows me to layout my program.

  TYPOLOGY 

My typology is a auto showroom/museum. The collage shows how a car being affected by the innovation of technology    

 CONNECTION  

   Connection between us people improved dramatically, mostly do to technology. We build and improve different ways we travel, communicate, or even think. Bridges, highways, and planes help us move from point A to point B with minimal time used. The internet help us communicate with each other any time and anywhere, but it also brings a new level of interaction between people and technology since we are trying to bring wireless connection in to our every day life.         

 SITE IMPRESSION

When I first stepped on the site I got a feeling of being in a small town, since the surrounding building were no bigger then 4 floors and mostly made of brick. But at the same time the tall glass skyscrapers 4 blocks away create an illusion of a mountains with white snow on top of them when the sun reflects of the glass.

I decided to go with the Manhattan site because I feel that more tourists visit the area, since the site is near the Brooklyn Bridge, Pear 17, and the financial district of Manhattan.
